Chic Worcester City Hall Elopement | Leonora & Paul

Updated: Apr 30

This hot (hot hot) summer day started off at Worcester City Hall where Leonora, whose family flew in from Mexico, and Paul, whose family flew in from Australia, all met for the first time to celebrate these two cuties wedding celebration. First things first, when you arrive for your wedding, you check in at the City Clerk window before your ceremony.

Sometimes City Hall wedding ceremonies are cut and dry with out much emotion, but it was obvious that these two felt every word they said and heard. The emotion was high and the love was real!! The support of their families immediately hugging everyone after the ceremony was so beautiful. It is so wonderful when I can sit back and document the real, natural emotions. After the ceremony we took some time to take their family formals on the grand staircase on the second floor.

After family portraits it was time for their couples photos - my favorite time of the day! If you've seen any of my other Worcester City Hall blogs you'll know I am in love with the grand staircases and archways inside City Hall, as well as the ceiling, and love to incorporate the architecture into portraits!

Not only is the inside of Worcester City Hall stunning, but the outside has a lot to offer too! Especially since many city hall weddings are mid-day, it's great to have open shade to take great portraits. I loved that Leonora and Paul brought along sunglasses to add a little something extra to their outdoor photos too!

Next we headed down the street to Armsby Abbey. The staff at Armsby Abbey went above and beyond to make us all feel welcome and do whatever they could to ensure the table and area was perfect for us. Very highly recommend visiting if you're in Worcester and looking for a good drink and hang.

Leonora's Review:

We had a blast having Tamara taking photos of our elopement / micro celebration. She was super helpful from the beginning. I was a little nervous, thinking it was going to be awkward having someone taking photos of us, but we wanted a good reminder of this day, and Tamara's expertise was exactly what we needed. She took us through every shot, making it fun and not awkward at all (we did our best as models lol). She also took a lot of really good candid photos of us and our family. She's got an amazing vibe and it was easy to connect with her to make everything more natural. We are really happy with our gallery, and the beautiful reminder of this day. Thank you!!

I'm so grateful these two, and their families, welcomed me in to photograph this chapter in their stories and the wonderful combining of families.
