Lauren and Baldemar's Wedding Story at Villa Antonia in Jonestown, Texas

Lauren and Baldemar's wedding is one of my most favorite weddings I've ever photographed. They''re both SO sweet, so kind, and truly in love. Photographing couples so effortlessly in love will never get old. These two have love not only for each other but for every single person in their lives. The bond between Lauran and her dad, and Baldemar and his mom is a love that cannot be compared. They got married at Villa Antonia on May 17, 2019 and there was an abundance of love, joy, and God at their wedding. I've integrated their wedding story throughout the photos below.

Villa Antonia is the most beautiful wedding venue in the Hill Country of Texas. From the Spanish influenced architecture to the amazing view of the hill country, this wedding venue is a crowd pleaser for sure! Villa Antonia is tucked away on dirt roads in Jonestown, Texas but is still less than an hour away from downtown Austin. It's perfect for someone who wants a mix of country and city in their wedding weekend.

Villa Antonia is one of the best wedding venues because

• It's literally picture perfect. It's maintained well and there are SO MANY spots for wedding photos. The chapel doors, the butterfly garden, the venue as a backdrop, the terrace, the Gazebo, the waterfall wall, the tower, and so many other areas around the property.

• Their bridal suite has great light and it opens up to a private terrace for outdoor photos.

• The view is striking and adds so much to the guest experience.

• There are A TON of ceremony location options. There's like 5 different options. You can truly customize the space in a way that fits your vision and be unique! There is nothing cookie cutter about this venue.

• The grand staircase is such a focal point and looks amazing decorated with greenery to add a pop of decor!

• There are so many different levels, walkways, and terraces that it's easy to have privacy.

Now that you know just how great Villa Antonia is and how amazing Lauren and Baldemar are, it's time to show you how gorgeous their wedding was thanks to the following amazing vendors:

After everyone got ready, each of the wedding parties prayed over Lauren and Baldemar. They prayed for their marriage, for the future, and for the day. I love photographing those moments because they are so tender and real.

Next up were the first looks. Lauren first met her dad on the grand staircase in the foyer. Lauren and her dad are super close, so the second they saw each other, both of them were enveloped in tears. They're total dad-daughter goals. Next we did a no-look-first-look between Lauren and Baldemar. They wanted to only hold hands and talk, but didn't want to see each other until the ceremony. So we found a space on either side of a wall for them to meet. They exchanged letters and it was so sweet to see how each others words made them emotional. But the real emotion began during the ceremony.

The love during the ceremony was palpable. Lauren and her dad shared a quick kiss before the chapel doors opened and Baldemar could see his bride for the first time. He had #reactiongoals as he teared up when she entered the chapel. But from that moment on I don't think a smile left his face. Their ceremony was intimate and personalized. One of their friends married them, they lit a unity candle, and shared a silent prayer before making it official with a kiss.

We chose to do their family and wedding party photos on the steps of the chapel doors because the light was magnificent and it was a great place to have different levels for people to stand in groups. Once we finished up the formal portraits we wandered around the venue into the butterfly garden while the terrace was being flipped for their reception and entrance. It's always nice to be able to take the couple somewhere private so they can enjoy time together just the two of them for the first time all day.

They had a mariachi band play for their grand entrance to kick off the reception. Lauren's dad and sister gave as speech as well as Baldemar's brother. Each speech was SO heartfelt and I remember crying behind my camera. As the sun went down we had a perfect view of the moon over the hill country and it was such a beautiful night with the terrace twinkle lights illuminating the area. A live painter painted the dinner scene which is such a cool and unique wedding present!

After all the tacos were eaten, the cake was cut, and the sun was set: it was time to party! Lauren and Baledmar shared their first dance, then Lo and her dad, and Baldemar and his mom. They had a bouquet toss and garter toss, conga lines, and crazy dance circles. Their friends are so fun and the dance floor was raging all night long. Outside they had seating on the terrace for whoever didn't want to dance as well as a cigar bar in the gazebo! They ended the night waving goodbye to their family and friends with a sparkler exit. Aren't they they mosts beautiful bride and groom?! I'm so grateful I was included in such a wonderful day!! Lauren and Baldemar recently bought their own home in Dallas and are growing more in love each day.
