Ingrid & Anthony's engagement session are what dreams are made of. Not only was it the perfect time for spring blooms in New England (it was early May), but the architecture at the Temple to Music at Roger Williams Park was the perfect back drop for their second, more formal outfit.
Roger Williams Park is a gorgeous 400+ acre park right near Providence. It's close proximity to the capitol of Rhode Island leads it to having elaborate landscaping that is impeccably maintained. Nearby, aside from park trails and fields, is a Zoo and Botanical Center aka a gorgeous Wedding Venue. I'm dying to photograph a wedding at the botanical center greenhouse! Check out a maternity session I photographed there here.
Springtime at Roger Williams was a perfect time for Iggy & Ant's engagement session because of what the season represents; life, growth and promise. These two bring such LIFE with them and positive energy. From the moment we met I could tell how happy and bubbly Iggy was and how much in love Ant was with her; how he wanted to make her happy. Photographing their interaction was effortless as their connection is so strong and they fit together perfectly.
We started off at the Japanese Garden which had the most stunning white and pink blooms lining the pond and little wooden bridges for lots of different locations for photos. After getting aquatinted and playing around with their pup Bella (yes- doggies are allllllways welcome and encouraged at your engagement session!!) we headed over to Temple to Music with an outfit change.

In order to reserve space at the Temple to Music you need to obtain a permit. This way, no one else can use the structure during your time slot. SO GRATEFUL that they do reservations so you don't have to shoot around other people. This building is so iconic you're going to want it all to yourselves!! They reserved it just before sunset so that as the hour passed, we got cotton candy skies as the backdrop past the pillars. So gorgeous!!

They ended their session, and our time together, on the lawn next to Temple to Music - popping champagne, playing around, and having a little picnic to enjoy the remaining rays of light reflect off of Cunliff Lake.
Iggy & Ant get married in May 2022 at Tupper Manor and I can't wait until these two are in front of my camera again to make some magic together!
