Foggy Boston Proposal | Larry + Alyssa

When Larry reached out to me two weeks before he proposed, he was super excited to put a ring on his girlfriend Alyssa's hand. He knew he wanted to propose somewhere in Boston, but was torn between Fan Pier Park in Seaport or somewhere in East Boston like Piers Park or LoPresti Park. Since their first date was at Tall Ship, LoPresti Park seemed like the perfect fit, but sadly it wasn't open for the season yet. After a few days of sitting on it, he decided on Fan Pier Park, which ended up being absolutely perfect as Alyssa confessed after he proposed that she always imagined getting engaged there!! Talk about meant to be!

I shared a few different popular proposal spots along the Harborwalk with Larry, and he ultimately decided he wanted to ask the love of his life to marry him on top of the Harborwalk Lookout Terrace. While the day of their proposal turned out to be a foggy and drizzly, since Boston's Seaport is a pretty popular place to propose, I love that their photos have a special twist to them!

As they ascended the stairs on Sunday evening, Alyssa went to look out at the water to wave to some passing boats. Larry took that opportunity to walk backwards a few steps and get down on one knee while her back was turned to him. Once she turned around, he took his time to share his love and ask her to spend the rest of her life with him. As soon as she said yes the entire area erupted in applause. Literally, people stopped eating and came outside of Davio's to wish them congratulations!

I'm so happy for these two and am so grateful I had the opportunity to photograph such a special moment in their lives!
