Arnold Arboretum Proposal
Pete proposed to Meghan on a chilly day at the end of March. They were visiting Boston from Syracuse, NY for a weekend filled of surprises. Aside from the entire trip being a surprise, Pete also surprised Meghan with tickets to her favorite show along with getting down on one knee and asking her to spend the rest of her life with him!
When talking and planning the surprise proposal with Pete, he really wanted an area outdoors that was immersed in greenery. Since they were staying in Boston he also didn't want to travel too far outside the city. Since it was March, greenery can be limited in New England so we decided on the Arnold Arboretum. While parts of the park were still dead for the season, the Conifer Path was a perfect backdrop for their proposal since conifer trees don't lose their needles during the winter months.

Arnold Arboretum Engagement
Meghan admitted she had some inklings that he was going to propose so she wasn't totally surprised but it was still an overwhelming emotional moment! Afterwards we did a mini session to get some Arnold Arboretum engagement photos for them. I always encourage any couple whose proposal I am photographing to take some time together afterwards before we begin the mini engagement session (if they even want to take photos!). I think their session turned out so great and I'm so excited for them and this next chapter of their love story they're embarking on.
