Q&A
1. What are some tips for vendors when you have several races in your wedding party:
Best advice when looking for artists that have the ability to work with all skin tones, types, and ages is to look at IG highlights, request an in person consult, book a makeup trial, or ask to see reviews from previous clients.
Andrea is the director of education at Adore Salon. She explained that they pride themselves on keeping their level of artistry up to a very high standard which includes having a full skillset and makeup range for every skin tone, eye shape, ethnicity, race. The ladies at Adore are 100% trained and there to help you, uplift you, and make you feel like your very best self.
2. Tips for how to choose a hair and makeup style for your wedding:
Gather photos of hair and makeup that you love without overthinking it. Bring the HMU photos as well as photos of your dress with you when you go in for your makeup trial. The ladies at Adore with help you find similarities of what you love to create a game plan for your wedding. You can even book out an extended trial to try out multiple different looks.
Also book your hair and makeup trial on a day that you're going to try on your dress, do a dress fitting, or take your bridal session photos so you can see the look all together!
3. When should the bride get her hair and makeup done?
Rhea recommends having the Bride get her hair and makeup done second to last. This ensures a fresh face without being rushed and there is time for touchups.
4. Tips for hair and makeup for the mother of the bride and groom:
Similarly to the bride, collect photos and come in for a trial! Rhea loves a matte shadows & pop of lip for moms to look great in photos. For moms, working with your natural hairstyle rather than a fancy updo is a great choice so you look and feel like yourself.
5. Should the bride provide their own lip color for touchups or should they have the MUA stay:
Adore provides a touchup kit: powder for skin & gloss for lips. However, professional makeup should stay throughout the entire night! Rhea does not recommend having a hair or makeup artist stay for touchups unless you want a change of hair or a different makeup look.
6. Should you microblade before your wedding?
No! You should not have any major services or surgeries done before the wedding. If you do want microbladed brows for your wedding, make sure it's more than one year before.
At Adore Salon, they provide natural microblading where the semi-permanent tattoo strokes are only in the natural hairline.
Above is an example of two brides who love "natural glam" & how Adore customized the look for each one.
Below is a bride who requested a "no makeup, makeup" look.

I recently watched the Wedding Makeup Q&A with Adore on Instagram, and it was incredibly insightful. One topic that stood out was the discussion on skincare prep before the big day, specifically mentioning the benefits of a microdermabrasion facial. If you're wondering, what is microdermabrasion facial, it’s a non-invasive procedure that gently exfoliates your skin, removing dead cells and revealing a smoother, more radiant complexion. I highly recommend it for brides-to-be. This treatment can significantly enhance the effectiveness of your makeup, giving you that flawless, glowing look for your wedding. It’s definitely worth considering as part of your skincare routine!
